Matt Barbet is a TV presenter and journalist known for hosting 5 News Tonight on Channel 5. His diverse career includes presenting roles on Breakfast, BBC London News, The Cycle Show, The Wright Stuff, The 5 O'Clock Show, and News Hour. 

Matt’s expertise spans both studio and field reporting, with notable assignments in Afghanistan, Haiti, and Ethiopia. He has also covered the Oscars twice and led Channel 5's live broadcast of Prince William and Catherine Middleton's royal wedding from Buckingham Palace.

On radio, Matt is recognised from his time on BBC Radio 1 during Sara Cox's Breakfast Show and has presented Weekend Breakfast on BBC Radio 5 Live, as well as The Briefing on Monocle 24. As a writer, Matt has contributed to The Independent, Monocle, Cycling Plus, and he currently has a monthly column in Bikes Etc. A passionate cyclist and runner, he has completed L'Etape du Tour in the French Alps and the London Marathon.

As a patron of Norwood, Matt has helped raise over £400,000 for the charity, including interviewing former FA Chairman Lord Triesman. He lives in London with his wife Katie and their daughters Manon and Blythe. Matt is available for awards hosting, facilitating discussions, and conducting interviews.
