Sharmadean Reid MBE is an entrepreneur and founder of Beautystack and WAH Nails.

Passionate about millennial girl culture, Sharmadean started the fanzine WAH in 2006 while studying at Central St Martins, promoting females in creative industries. She quickly gained a global following as an early blog pioneer, hosting panel events for like-minded women from 2008.

After graduating, Sharmadean began her career as a stylist and brand consultant for youth brands like Nike and ASOS, while driving the WAH brand through informal meetings and ad hoc fanzine publications.

In 2009, WAH Nails opened in Dalston, creating a physical space for the online community. It revolutionised nail culture, offering a millennial-owned, grassroots approach to beauty. In 2015, Sharmadean was awarded an MBE for her services to beauty.

WAH Nails expanded to events, shows, and parties at London Fashion Week for brands such as Nike, Marc Jacobs, and Diesel. It also had a successful pop-up salon in Selfridges, earning Sharmadean recognition as one of the "15 people who will define the future of arts in Britain" and a feature in Vogue's "New Generation."

After a successful four-year run at Topshop Oxford Circus, WAH Nails closed to focus on community. WAH London launched a product line in Boots UK, selling £1.2 million worth of nail products in its first year. Sharmadean also authored the bestselling WAH Book of Nail Art in 2013.

Sharmadean launched FutureGirlCorp to empower the next generation of female CEOs, promoting long-term wealth and economic empowerment. In 2016, she opened a salon in Soho featuring an innovative VR Nail Design app.

In 2017, Sharmadean partnered with major brands like Vodafone, Pearson, Adobe, Majestic, and Johnnie Walker. She also wrote the “Bossing It” column in The Guardian's Weekend Magazine in 2018.

Most recently, Sharmadean launched Beautystack, an angel investor-funded platform that connects beauty professionals with consumers, allowing direct appointment bookings. Her mission is to use technology to empower women economically, socially, and culturally.
