Virtual Masterclass Highlights: Celebrating International Women’s Day

Hosted by Susannah Streeter, our first virtual masterclass of 2021 celebrated International Women's Day.

Joining Susannah was Eniola Aluko, ex-footballer with over 100 England caps and became the first female to appear pundit on Match of the Day, Polar Explorer Ann Daniels who became the first woman in history to ski to the North and South Poles as part of all female teams, and Helen Sharman OBE who was the first British Astronaut when she launched on a Russian Soyuz spacecraft and spent 8 days orbiting the Earth, living, and working on the MIR Space Station.

Our team were super excited by this line-up and they didn't disappoint!

First up, Eni spoke eloquently about diversity and inclusion within a sporting and business environment. Next came Ann where she shared with us how her team developed an incredible mental strength to complete their expedition in the most inhospitable conditions imaginable. Finally, Helen inspired us not only with her story of travelling into space, but how a team of individuals from different backgrounds developed an implicit trust in each other's capabilities to ensure their mission was achieved safely!
