Ann Daniels The Value of Teamwork During Expeditions To The North and South Pole
From a humble beginning as the mother of young triplets and without any outdoor experience, Ann Daniels became the first woman in history to ski to the North and South Poles as part of all female teams. With temperatures as low as -50C, Ann has completed over 10 polar expeditions, surviving 400+days on ice in the most inhospitable environments in the world.
Therefore, we were delighted to welcome Ann to our virtual showcase event ‘Celebrating International Women’s Day’ where she shared with our audience the emotional rollercoaster her team experienced during the expedition.
What we enjoyed hearing was Ann’s total commitment to her team, which included those who didn’t make it to the end, and her messages show the importance of valuing the contribution every member can make.
