Full of passion and belief, Chris Moon is inspirational  beyond measure. During a routine and supposedly safe landmine clearing mission in Africa, Chris lost him lower arm and one leg. Less than a year after being discharged from hospital, he ran the London marathon, and the punishing Marathon des Sables, a 137 mile race across the Sahara.

Chris taught himself to become the world's first amputee ultra distance runner, and ran the punishing Marathon des Sables, a 137-mile race across the Sahara in 1997. Now a regular at some of the world’s toughest extreme races, such as the Badwater Death Valley 135 mile and the Devon Coast to Coast 117-mile race. He’s led numerous teams to complete rigorous challenges ranging from climbing mountains to cycling the length of Cambodia.

Chris recalls his accident, as well as the other death-defying episode in his life, being kidnapped by Khmer Rouge guerrillas, and channels his positive mind-set and sheer grit and determination to motivate people and businesses to push boundaries and achieve beyond their dreams.

Chris’ book, One Step Beyond, tells the story of his life, so far. From the deepest depths of misery and despair, to the elation of running the final stage of the Olympic torch relay to Nagano for the opening of the 18th Winter Olympics in 1998, Chris’ tenacity is the ultimate inspiration.

When it comes to challenging the concept of limitation, adapting to change, and overcoming adversity Chris walks the talk. He has a passion for the process of achievement and uses his unique experiences to help people do what they do better. Chris speaks with enthusiasm and humour on resilience, diversity, change, personal and strategic leadership, and all aspects of behavioural choices. His interactive presentations and workshops are tailored to desired outcomes and actions.
