Named as one of the top ‘100 Women to Watch’ within Cranfield School of Management’s annual Female FTSE 100 Board Report, Yetunde Hofmann is recognised as one of the UK’s leading leadership and culture change management experts.
A former global HR professional, she provides corporations and their people with practical and strategic guidance on crucial topics including corporate leadership; organisational culture; commercial growth; diversity and inclusion; employee resilience; career advancement; and talent acquisition and retainment. In particular, she is a key proponent of Love Based Leadership, a relatively new but powerful leadership model, and is the author of business guide ‘Beyond Engagement – The Value of Love-Based Leadership in Organisations’ (Authors Place Press, May 2020).
Yetunde is the managing director of Synchrony Development Consulting, a UK-based international leadership and change consultancy that provides strategic advice to business leaders and leadership teams on the management of change, as well as on diversity and inclusion. With her guidance, leaders become more effective within their roles, leadership teams become more functional, and companies deliver sustainable change and growth through unlocking the collective potential of their management and leadership. Prior to the launch of her consultancy in 2015,
Yetunde enjoyed a highly-successful three-decade career in HR. She worked for a range of FTSE 100 and multinational FMCG companies including Unilever, Northern Foods, Allied Domecq and Imperial Brands, the latter serving as the Global HR Director for the commercial divisions of the FTSE 25 company, driving commercial growth across 160 countries.
She is also the founder of The Enjoyable Life Series CIC - a community non-profit organisation designed to empower people from all walks of life to live a more personally and professionally rewarding existence. Through a range of talks, conferences and workshops, the organisation—founded in 2014—positively impacts individuals’ mental, emotional and physical wellbeing, as well as contributes to the development of engagement, trust, belonging and inclusion within companies.
Yetunde is a Non-Executive Director of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), where until 2019 she sat as a member of its Audit and Nominations committees, contributing to the organisation's strategic direction and its future development and sustainability. She is currently Chair of the CIPD’s People, Culture and Remuneration Committee (PCRC) and, since 2018, has served as the CIPD International Board Champion to the Middle East, where she mentors and supports the regional leadership team in high stakeholder engagement meetings. Yetunde is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
A TEDx speaker, she is also a Visiting Fellow at the University of Reading’s Henley Business School’s School of Marketing and Reputation; a Board Trustee of the Institute of Business Ethics (IBE); a board member of international charity the Education Development Trust (EDT); a Non-Executive Director at global ingredients manufacturer Treatt Plc, where she is also a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nominations Committees; and Board Mentor with Criticaleye—a peer to peer CEO and Leadership Community—where she mentors senior executives at board and C-Suite levels.
In 2020, Yetunde won the UK’s ‘Dress for Success London Award for Women’s Empowerment’, given to individuals who inspire and empower women to succeed.
