With over 10 years of experience in breaking news and developing stories, Laura knows all too well the pressures of managing a demanding personal life with a busy work schedule. She speaks openly about how she’s learnt to manage her wellness in the workplace, and shares her tips for thriving in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
As a mental health consultant, Laura uses the tools she learnt in the US alongside her skills as a storyteller, to train leaders in mental health awareness. She advises organisations on their mental health strategy and encourages leaders to realise the financial and moral benefits of putting wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.
Laura frequently delivers keynotes and workshops to companies, schools, charities and organisations, to help clients develop confidence, resilience and identity from within. She coaches leaders on the value of adapting their organisations to retain staff, and create productive working environments, by using humour, compassion and personal anecdotes, along with a no 'BS' approach to cut through the difficult conversations surrounding mental ill health.
Laura is also a certified Eating Disorder Recovery coach with the renowned Carolyn Costin Institute, and is the founder of the globally recognised online artblog 'Jiggsy.' Using its unique creative tool 'The Jiggsaw,' to connect people affected by an eating disorder or mental health issue, through shared experiences.
