Serial tech entrepreneur, Fredrik Debong, is driven to solve problems.

In 2010, he begun mySugr.com, an app to help diabetes sufferers manage and control their treatment. Founded in Vienna, mySugr’s apps, web service and Diabetes Academy are mutually compatible solutions to ease the daily therapy routine. The app was one of the first medical apps approved by CE and FDA in the US and EU, reaching 1.8 million users in 60 countries.

Fredrik's love for gaming has shaped the gamification aspect of mySugr, while his own struggles with diabetes means he understands the impact that the disease can have on sufferers.

Since 2017, Fredrik has been a business angel, investing in several companies in the med tech, health data, learning and impact industries.

Fredrik is also the Chief Science Officer and co-founder of hi.health, a payment service for health insurance, enabling market access, distribution and deployment of connected health services. Here, he deals in health insurance, fin-tech, personalised health and market access.

Fredrik studied medical computer science and now delivers talks across the globe, sharing his belief that technology changes society for the better! Convinced that the future is shaped by what we do today, Fredrik shares how and why we’ve reached a new level of digital health.
