Dan's television career has seen him presenting a number of historical shows, including Secrets of Great British Castles and Britain’s Bloodiest Dynasty: The Plantagenets., which was adapted from his best-selling book, and has been sold to over 40 countries worldwide.

As a journalist, Dan has written extensively in publications both in the UK and USA. His regular column in the Evening Standard focuses on a different interest of Dan's, where he writes mainly about sport.
