Sarah Brown 'Top UK Tweeter' Says The Independent

Sarah Brown, Britain’s ex-First Lady is top of the ‘Tweeterati’ list, according to The Independent.

The wife of the former Prime Minister comes across as influential and popular on Twitter. Her Tweets are often mundane – “Had a great family walk today” – but collectively reflect her kind heart, her interest in causes such as education and women’s health, and her position close to the centre of power.

The Twitter 100 was compiled with the help of social media monitoring group, Peerindex. The Peerindex measures people’s Twitter presence in terms of impact, eminency or leadership, on a  scale of 1 to 100. The key to these measurements is that they try to measure other people’s response to Tweeters. The key question really is ‘how well does a person resonate with their audience, and with the world at large?’

Brown currently has 1,126,737 Twitter followers.
