Kate Humble, Professor Brian Cox and Jim Al-Khalili at Cheltenham
Kate Humble , Professor Brian Cox and Jim Al-Khalili as well as Dame Vivienne Westwood are just some of the big names appearing at the Cheltenham Science Festival in June.
Comedians Tim Minchin and Ruby Wax will also join the line-up, alongside Marcus Brigstocke , one of the festival’s directors.
More than 300 of the world's greatest scientists, thinkers, comedians and writers will come together to celebrate and explore the wonders of the natural world, the complexities of the human mind and the mysteries of space.
The overall theme for the festival will be RE:Generation and the varied programme ranges from psychology to robotics and morality to cosmology.
Marcus Brigstocke said: "I am delighted and honoured to be a part of the Cheltenham Science Festival. "Science keeps on searching for answers to the most perplexing and challenging problems we face, unsure if it will ever find the answer.
"Our scientists question not only what we are sure we don't know but also the things we imagine we do know, and I like that."
