An Interview With Jamil Qureshi

What sets you apart from other psychologists?

I specialise in 'psychology on a post-it'. I ensure that the best change techniques are packaged and delivered in digestible chunks which are simple to understand and more importantly easier to use! I've also had the pleasure of sharing these techniques with six people who have got to number one in the world at what they do!

How straightforward is it to transfer the work you do with elite sports teams to teams in a business organisation?

Really straightforward! Successful attitudes can be used anywhere by anyone for betterment. Blames looks backwards and responsibility looks forwards. As soon as we start to realise our own ResponseAbility to perform we understand it's not about circumstance and situation...it's about choice!

Who or what motivates you?

Purpose is never achieved, it's attained on a daily basis. Once we start to understand what truly drives us, it's easy to be motivated and fulfilled. I am delighted to help people turn their ambition into achievement.

What is the biggest challenge that you have overcome?

The same challenges everyone has to overcome; belief system and fear. I do struggle to remember every day that my world is merely a reflection of my attitude towards it.

What was the most interesting thing you learned while working with NASA?

That extraordinary things are achieved by ordinary people.
