Tom Bradby
The face of ITV's coverage of the 2015 General Election, Tom Bradby is the former Political Editor of ITV News, best-selling author and host of a weekly discussion show The Agenda. As the former Political Editor of ITV News, current presenter of the ITV evening news, and best-selling novelist, Tom Bradby is an institution within the political and economic landscape. His political reporting career began at ITV’s Ireland bureau as Ireland Correspondent where he reported extensively on the dynamic, chaotic and thrilling peace process. During this time, he penned his first novel, Shadow Dancer, which became an international best-seller.
In 1991 Tom was appointed Asia Correspondent, and whilst covering a riot in Jakarta he was shot. Following his recovery with a spell as ITV’s Royal Correspondent, Tom took the post as political editor in the summer of 2005. He held this until 2010 and was ITV’s main General Election reporter in 2015. He has continued to write novels, screenplays and articles. In 2015, he left his role as Political Editor to become ITV’s main newscaster of the flagship News at Ten programme.
His long and varied career in journalism has equipped Tom with the experience to become one of the UK’s most successful thriller writers, and as a speaker his presentations are filled with anecdotes from time spent with world political and business leaders, and he shares shrewd insights in to the workings of our political system with the audience.
