Kasia Madera
A British TV news presenter and journalist, Kasia Madera has covered some of the biggest stories, including the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony. A popular conference facilitator and awards host, Kasia draws on her experience fronting the overnight bulletins on BBC News and BBC World News, as well as presenting Newsday, World News Today, and Reporters (a BBC News programme).
BBC World News presenter Kasia Madera has hosted conferences and award ceremonies , as well as chaired and taken part in panel debates.
Kasia is one of the primary anchors of the Newsday program, can be seen on World News Today (BBC4 and BBC World), and fronts feature programmes as part of the BBC Global’s Country Direct series.
Since 2002, Kasia has worked on many of the biggest news stories as a journalist and presenter, including the night of the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony; simulcast on BBC One, her programme attracted some of the BBC News Channel’s highest audience figures!
Kasia is also an active member of London’s Polish Community and was named as the Honorary Ambassador of Polish Women in the UK at the Polish Embassy in London.
She hosted a vigil at Trafalgar Square in memory of the late Polish President and First Lady; she was the only British journalist to secure an interview with Donald Tusk during the Polish Prime Minister’s visit to the UK; and, moreover, she researched, wrote and presented Working Lives Krakow for BBC World’s Poland Direct series and Working Lives Zagreb as part of the Croatia Direct series.
