Lenny Henry has evolved from a beloved children's TV star to one of Britain’s most renowned entertainers, celebrated as a performer, writer, philanthropist, and award-winning stage actor. His recent screen roles include "The Witcher: Blood Origin", "Rings of Power", "Broadchurch", "The Syndicate", and the biopic "Danny and The Human Zoo". On stage, Lenny has delivered standout performances in "The Comedy of Errors" at The National, "Fences" at the Duchess Theatre, and "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui" at the Donmar Warehouse.

As a co-founder and public face of Comic Relief, Lenny has been instrumental in raising over £1 billion since 1985. A passionate advocate for diversity in the arts, he established the Centre for Media Diversity at Birmingham City University, written books on the subject, and co-hosted the "Black British Lives Matter" podcast. In recognition of his contributions to drama and charity, Lenny was knighted in 2015.

His writing extends to memoirs with Faber and a popular series of children's books with Pan Macmillan. In 2023, Lenny’s ITV drama "Three Little Birds" garnered widespread acclaim, as did his five-star one-man play "August in England", which he wrote and performed at The Bush Theatre.
