At just twenty-four years old, Jack Whitehall has made a remarkable impact upon the comedy world and has established himself as one of the UK’s most exciting and successful comedy acts.

Born into a theatrical family, Jack initially worked as a child actor in various television dramas but shortly after leaving school he decided to pursue a career in stand-up comedy.  Six months later, aged 18, he beat over 600 contestants to become the youngest ever comedian to reach the final of the prestigious ‘Laughing Horse New Act’ competition for which he finished runner up.

In addition, he battled his way through a tense two night London competition to secure a place on the Pleasance Comedy Reserve.  Whilst at the Fringe, he reached the final of Channel 5’s ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ and was crowned the youngest ever Winner of ‘The Amused Moose New Act of the Year’, leading Time Out to pinpoint him as “a rising star.”

In August 2009, he was nominated for the Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for his debut solo Fringe show, ‘Nearly Rebellious’.  The show received rave reviews and completely sold out, with an extra date added due to public demand.  He performed at the Montreal ‘Just For Laughs’ Festival in July 2010, as part of the prestigious New Faces line-up and was picked out by Hollywood industry bible Variety as one of their “10 Comics to Watch”.

In 2011 Jack was nominated by the British Comedy Awards for ‘Best Comedy Breakthrough’, he performed several shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and performed two sell out shows at the Hammersmith Apollo. Jack won the People’s Choice Award for King of Comedy at the British Comedy Awards in 2012.

Jack has become a popular face on UK television, in 2009 he hosted ‘Celebrity Big Brother’s Big Mouth’ and made guest appearances on shows such as ‘The Sunday Night Project’, ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ and ‘Would I Lie to You?’. In 2011 he made his acting debut in the successful Channel 4 series ‘Fresh Meat’ and has since written and starred in the BBC show ‘Bad Education’. He has recently become a panelist on the popular TV series ‘A League of Their Own’ and landed a six part series on Channel 4 called ‘Hit the Road Jack’, which saw him performing stand up in cities across the UK and featured celebrity guests and live music.

Receiving critical acclaim for his acting performances in Fresh Meat and Bad Education, both shows were nominated for numerous awards, the latter being made into a film in 2015.

In 2012 he became a regular panellist on the game show A League of Their Own. He also hosts Backchat with his father, Michael. He released his first book in 2013, co-written with his father, called Him & Me.

Touring the country with his sell-out shows, Jack Whitehall’s larger than life personality has been critically hailed wherever he goes. A brilliant awards host and conference facilitator, Jack will handle any crowd with ease, whilst also leaving his audience in stitches.
