Presenter of the Emma Barnett Show on BBC Radio 5 Live and Newsnight on BBC Two, award-winning journalist and broadcaster Emma Barnett is known for her sharp interviewing skills, expertise in politics, media and digital trends - as well as social affairs, religion and feminism. She uses her role as a facilitator to ask the right questions and challenge concepts effectively.

The former Women’s Editor of The Daily Telegraph, where she created and launched the women’s section, she now writes a weekly column for The Sunday Times. In the past, she has worked for Media Week and contributed to The Times, The Sunday Times Culture Magazine, Esquire Magazine and TimeOut London.

Covering technology, business, politics, and where women meet these worlds, Emma is influential in her commentary, with guest presenting slots on Woman’s Hour and her own radio show on 5 Live. She has also chaired the Women’s Hour Power List and spoken at TEDx.

Since November 2014 she has been presenting the Five Live Hit List, reporting on current social media trends. Regularly appearing on TV and radio, including BBC Radio 4, BBC Five Live, Sky News, CNN, BBC Three and LBC, Emma’s face is as recognisable as her voice.

In 2011, she earned the accolades of Digital Journalist of the Year and Digital Writer of the Year.
Tipped as a 'one to watch', Emma previously shortlisted for Red Magazine's annual '20 under 30' Hot List, which highlights the most up and coming women under the age of 30. She has gained a loyal following on Twitter as an influential UK journalist tweeter.

Former host of London’s Biggest Conversation every Sunday on LBC, Emma’s is the voice of the Capital. She explored the issues behind the biggest news stories of the day, and interviewed the key people behind the headlines.

Emma presented Gadget Geeks on Sky One, a studio-based show covering digital media and technology, and is hailed as a leading media and culture commentator after having interviewed some of the most influential personalities in The Sunday Telegraph.

She also presented a documentary for BBC Radio 4 entitled ‘Do we have a right to be forgotten?’, where she examined the ownership of online identities and who owns information in the digital age.

Emma has also worked as the 'The Interrogator', for a podcast that confronts social, political and religious dilemmas from all angles. From Octover 2017, Emma has co-presented After the News on ITV.

Her news coverage includes general elections, breaking political news, the royal wedding for LBC and the Hay-on-Wye Literary Festival for The Telegraph and Telegraph TV. Emma specialises in interviewing the key figures shaping our times - from the Prime Minister to the Duchess of Cornwall - always in her unique style.
