A rocket business success, Nick can offer an audience witty tales of his wealth of experience and serious business advice.

Very entertaining and interesting speaker, tailored his speech to our event with an element of humour.

Nick Hewer the host of Countdown is perhaps best known as Lord Alan Sugar’s former right-hand man on The Apprentice. He is an experienced and engaging after dinner and keynote speaker and awards host.

Nick Hewer’s PR firm was chosen to represent Amstrad in the eighties and soon became responsible for media handling of all Alan Sugar’s business and charitable activities. For over 20 years, Nick Hewer played an integral part in Amstrad’s management structure. Nick built up a long and impressive client list. As well as international corporations, he represented the Secretariat of HH the Aga Khan and, for a fascinating period, the wife of the ruler of Dubai, the late Sheikh Maktoum.

After selling the business, Nick Hewer retired early to his house in south-west France; but having become firm friends with Sir Alan, he was called back to negotiate with the producers of what was to become a ground-breaking reality TV show. The tables were turned when Sugar persuaded Nick to take an onscreen role and promised to negotiate his fees. The pair worked as team for many years, entertaining countless viewers across the country.

Since leaving The Apprentice, Nick has continued his television career as the host on Countdown. He has also worked in conjunction with Total Jobs on their campaign #TheElevatorPitch to help job hunters overcome their nerves when interviewing, giving his business expertise back, Nick has many years’ worth of interview experience to impart onto likely candidates.

Nick’s expressions, borne of wonderfully dry humour and a lifetime’s business experience, tell you exactly what he thinks of the contestants, and it is this wit that has lead to Nick being in demand for shows such as 'Have I Got News for You' and 'Would I Lie to You'.

A charming funny and experienced speaker, Nick is the perfect choice for any type of event.
