Mandy Hickson’s Inspirational Journey to Become a Royal Air Force Pilot

Mandy Hickson overcame huge obstacles and setbacks before realising her dream of becoming a Royal Air Force pilot. Mandy was the second woman to fly the Tornado GR4 operationally and she joined our virtual showcase ‘New Year, New Inspiration, to share her experience!

Mandy began by inviting our audience to step into her office, which of course was the Tornado! With an upbeat, highly energetic delivery, Mandy took us on a journey which included multiple failures, plenty of learning moments and ultimately a successful ending.
