"If there were no Olympics, there would be no athletics." - In Conversation With Michael Johnson
In this episode of 'In Conversation with', one of the greatest athletes of all time, winning 9 World Championships and 4 Olympic golds, Michael Johnson, spoke with our MD, Nick Gold about his mindset during training and competitions, peak performance and the positioning of athletics.
During his career Michael broke world records in the 200 meters, 400 meters, and 4x400 meter relay. He became known as the "Fastest Man in the World" in 1996 when completing the historic 200/400 meter Olympic double recording the fastest time ever clocked by a human.
Following his retirement from competitive track in 2000, Johnson has achieved success as a television commentator working for BBC sports and the Olympics. Additionally, he is a regular contributor in the sports section of The Times. Johnson is also the author of Slaying the Dragon: How to Turn Your Small Steps to Great Feats, an inspirational book where he reveals his personal blueprint for achievement and explains how to turn defeats and setbacks into successes.
