Barry McGuigan was a professional Irish boxer who became the featherweight champion of the world in 1985, the fight was voted 'Fight of the Year' by Ring magazine.

Barry famously collaborated with the twice Academy Award nominated film director Jim Sheridan and Academy Award winner Daniel Day Lewis to make the movie ‘The Boxer’ which was inspired by his life.

Barry was one of the best boxers of his generation and is an inspirational after dinner speaker, motivational speaker and awards host.
