Liberty Vittert

Liberty Vittert is currently the Mitchell Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the University of Glasgow in the School of Mathematics and Statistics and a visiting Scholar at Columbia University in New York City.  She has significant experience in explaining issues concerning mathematics, statistics, polling and voting techniques, and the topic of “big data” to the media, public, and government.

Liberty is a regular TV and radio contributor to many news organizations such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4, PBS, and Fox News Channel, as well as having her own TV series on the Scottish Television Network (STV).

She is currently hosting a new television series titled "The Truth About Your Health- by the Numbers". She is also an Ambassador for the Royal Statistical Society and a Board Member of USA for the UN Refugee Agency with the aim to use data for good.
