Hi, my name is Maria!
I was born in Quezon City in the Philippines and moved to Aberdeen when I was 5. Then I moved down South to Eastbourne when I was 8 and I’ve loved being by the sea ever since! And yet, I never learnt how to swim…
For the past couple of years, I have worked with the ethnically diverse communities and challenging racial discrimination while immersing myself in different cultures and traditions (especially the food!). With my background in Air Travel and Tourism, I love exploring different cities especially the ones that are not popular on Instagram.
I recently moved up to London and ready to explore the amazing city, from trying new food, watching a theatre show or going to art museums. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, while learning more about my own culture. When I’m not meeting people, I would gladly stay at home, either reading, watching Marvel films or cheesy Rom-Coms from the 2000s, essentially just rotting in bed.
