Iain Dale is one of Britain’s leading political commentators and bloggers and a popular host on the corporate circuit.
Iain Dale was shortlisted for Audio Presenter of the Year (2022) by the Broadcasting Press Guild. Named Radio Presenter of the Year for 2013 and 2016 at the Arqiva Awards, Iain is the 2014 Sony Award winner of Best Interview of the Year.
Founder of Total Politics magazine and the brains behind Politico’s Bookstore, in 2009, Iain founded Britain’s leading political publisher, Biteback Publishing and since then has published more than 600 books. He’s written/edited more than fifty books!
Iain joined LBC in 2010 and has since presented four LBC General Election Night Shows, three American Presidential Election overnight shows, as well as the stations Scottish and Brexit referendum night shows. Iain was a panelist on CNN Talk on CNN International and is a regular contributor to Newsnight, Good Morning Britain and Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine Show.
A visiting professor of politics and broadcasting at the University of East Anglia, Iain is also a non-executive director of the Lending Standards Board and an ambassador for Diabetes UK and the Royal Osteoporosis Society.
Host of the podcasts Where Politics Meets History, Iain Dale All Talk and the award-winning For the Many, he regularly blogs on politics and current affairs, along with being a media critic for Reaction.Life.
Iain is a former parliamentary researcher and chief of staff to David Davis MP. He was a political lobbyist, financial journalist and is the creator and host of the theatre production A Night With Ann Widdecombe, which toured provincial theatres all around the country. He stood for Parliament at the 2005 general election in North Norfolk, but has now given up active politics.
