Geoff White is an investigative journalist, author, and speaker specialising in organised crime, cyber threats, and the hidden forces shaping our digital world. With decades of experience, his work has been featured by BBC News, Sky News, Audible, and The Sunday Times, bringing complex issues to life with clarity and insight.
His latest book, Rinsed, published by Penguin Random House in 2024, uncovers the impact of technology on global money laundering. His previous book, The Lazarus Heist, stemmed from the hit BBC podcast of the same name, which he co-hosted. The 10-part series shot to number one in the UK Apple charts and reached the top seven in the US, offering a deep dive into North Korea’s cyber operations.
A sought-after speaker, Geoff has delivered over 300 keynotes across more than a dozen countries for brands including Microsoft, HSBC, Sky, Mastercard, and Atos. His engaging talks take audiences inside real-world cybercrime cases, revealing the tactics of hackers, fraudsters, and global crime networks. He has spoken at major UK conferences, chaired panels at venues such as Chatham House, and even taken his insights to unexpected stages like the Latitude music festival.
Beyond books and keynotes, Geoff has written and presented major podcast series, including The Dark Web (Audible), which explores the hidden corners of the internet, and Cybercrime Investigations, which takes listeners inside the world of investigative journalism. He also co-created The Secret Life of Your Mobile Phone, a live interactive stage show demonstrating how everyday devices leak data—an Edinburgh Fringe sell-out that has since been performed at festivals, conferences, and corporate events.
Previously, as Channel 4 News’ technology correspondent, Geoff won multiple awards for his investigations into data privacy, hacking, and fraud. His work on the Snowden leaks, the TalkTalk cyber attack, and the risks of online dating scams helped shape public understanding of digital threats. He also pioneered the Data Baby project, an experiment that exposed how personal data is collected and exploited online.
Whether speaking at corporate events, tech summits, or industry panels, Geoff brings depth, storytelling, and real-world expertise to the stage, helping audiences navigate the fast-changing world of cybercrime, security, and digital risk.
