Best International Women's Day Speakers for Your Event in 2025

Georgina Clarke 30 December 2024

Celebrated every year all over the world, International Women’s Day (IWD) highlights women’s achievements and promotes gender equality.

Whilst we have made great steps forward for gender equality, there is still a huge amount of work that needs to be done.

We work with a plethora of inspiring, educated and motivational women who are pioneers in their industries, paving the way for future generations of women to look to.

Whilst we’ve highlighted some individuals here in this blog, more are featured on our dedicated page; however, this isn’t everyone! Do reach out to our Account Management team at https://www.speakerscorner.co.uk/contact-us if no one here is catching your eye, as we’re confident that we can find your perfect female motivational speaker.

The Importance of International Women’s Day

With Roe v Wade being overturned in 2022, giving individual American states power to decide on abortion rights, there was an international outcry at how steps are being taken backwards, not forwards, for allowing women to be treated equally to their male counterparts.

Alongside this recent historical shift, and regular news stories of violence against women being on the rise, it’s hard to remain positive that the world is changing for women.

There are organisations dedicated to this cause, including Focus 2030, which aims for equality by 2030. Their 2024 report outlines, ultimately, that not one country achieved gender equality last year.

Whilst all of this can seem disheartening, this is exactly why International Women’s Day exists!

IWD drives awareness and action for equality, uniting people globally to celebrate progress, whilst highlighting the distance that must still be covered.
