Levi Roots

Levi Roots is one of the UK's most successful entrepreneurs, known for his rise to fame after pitching his now-iconic Reggae Reggae Sauce on "Dragon's Den" in 2007. His pitch, complete with a song and his signature guitar, captured the attention of Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh, who invested £50,000 for a 40% stake. Within six weeks, Reggae Reggae Sauce outsold Heinz Ketchup at Sainsbury's, making it one of the fastest-selling products in the chain’s history.

Since then, Levi’s brand has grown to include a wide range of Caribbean-inspired food products, ready meals, soft drinks, and even restaurant partnerships with chains like Wetherspoons. From 2015 to 2019, Levi also ran his own restaurant, The Levi Roots Caribbean Smokehouse, in Westfield Stratford City. His TV career has been just as vibrant, with appearances on "Caribbean Food Made Easy", "This Morning", "Saturday Kitchen Live", and even a cameo in "Death in Paradise". In 2024, he entered the "Celebrity Big Brother" house, further showcasing his charismatic personality.

Levi’s passion for music and food is woven into everything he does, and his mantra, "Put some music in your food," is at the heart of his success. He’s also an inspiring motivational speaker, touring the country to share his journey at conferences, corporate events, schools, and prisons. As a long-time ambassador for The Prince's Trust and a sought-after speaker during Black History Month, Levi is dedicated to empowering young people to believe in themselves and achieve their dreams.

With a film about his life in development and a musical, "South Clash: Death in the Arena", making its debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023, Levi’s story is far from finished. Whether through his entrepreneurial ventures, TV appearances, or public speaking, Levi continues to inspire audiences with his energy, authenticity, and passion for giving back.
