June Sarpong OBE is a renowned TV presenter, author, and advocate, known for her influential career, work with high-profile figures, and co-founding the WIE Network.
June Sarpong OBE has enjoyed a remarkable 20-year career, becoming one of the most recognisable faces on British television. She began at Kiss 100 before moving to MTV UK & Ireland, and truly became a household name during her time on Channel 4’s T4.
June hosted the Make Poverty History event in 2005, the UK leg of Live Earth in 2007, and Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday celebrations in Hyde Park in 2008. She has interviewed and introduced some of the world’s most notable figures, including HRH Prince of Wales, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and George Clooney.
June has worked closely with HRH Prince Charles as an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust and has campaigned for The One and Product (RED). In recognition of her contributions to broadcasting and charity, she was awarded an MBE in 2007 and later an OBE in the 2020 New Year Honours List.
As the co-founder of the WIE Network (Women: Inspiration & Enterprise), June has brought together influential speakers such as Sarah Brown, Melinda Gates, Arianna Huffington, Donna Karan, Queen Rania, Nancy Pelosi, and Iman.
After eight years in America, June returned to the UK in 2015 and is now a regular panellist on Sky News’ weekly current affairs discussion show, The Pledge.
June is also an accomplished author, with three award-winning books to her name: "Diversify: Six Degrees of Integration", "The Power of Women", and "The Power of Privilege".
